Description of the visit:

Visit of the tropical greenhouses: introduction to different tropical ecosystems (mangroves, tropical rain forests, deserts…), to the diversity of species in relation to their living environment, and to the genetic diversity of plants.
This visit is an opportunity to discover how humans influence biodiversity (e.g. based on the history of the introduction of plants (such as Vanilla), the convergence of forms between Euphorbias and Cacti or to meet very old species such as tree ferns...

This visit complements the school curriculum for 16-18 years old:

  • Define biodiversity as the diversity of ecosystems, species, and genetic differences within species.
  • See how biodiversity changes over time as a result of many factors, including human activity.

Effectifs : 12 à 18 élèves (1/2 classe)

Le Grand Oral

Préparation à l’épreuve du baccalauréat (ou préparation à l’épreuve oral pour les collégiens).

1. Accueil au théâtre de verdure par un médiateur du jardin botanique : 30 min

  • Présentation du jardin botanique
  • Découvertes de quelques plantes ressources pour le travail de prise de parole. 

2. Atelier théâtral quelque part dans l’écrin du jardin botanique avec la Cie SAYN (www.ciesayn.fr) : 1h30

  • Échauffement et jeux d’expression collectifs
  • Jeu de prise de parole individuelle sur la thématique des plantes  

Atelier modulable en fonction de la classe et de la durée de présence sur site

Appuis au programme du lycée : 

  • Prise de conscience du corps et de la voix, outils de relaxation, approche ludique pour travailler la prise de parole en public et mise en pratique avec un sujet donné

En option : le groupe qui n’est pas atelier peut participer à une visite guidée dans les serres tropicales sur le thème de la « Biodiversité »

Description of the visit:

Through a visit to the greenhouses, pupils learn about botanical examples related to three pillars of sustainable development (environment, society and economics).

This visit addresses the notions of biodiversity, invasive species, deforestation, desertification, fair trade, the function of plants, biological control, and the roles of a botanical garden.

This visit complements the school curriculum for 16-18 years old:

  • Raise pupils’ awareness of the key challenges of sustainable development
  • Learn that biodiversity is the diversity of ecosystems, the diversity of species and the genetic diversity within species.
